June 28, 2010 Day b4 my birthday

well, it is the day before my birthday. feels strange to be getting one year older.  and feeling younger and younger :)

Brasil won.  I must have yelled for all of Bocana to hear !!  All by myself and having a blast !! 

Les busy at the other house. Cant stop - it must get done and soon

went with the bikers to see the new helmets and drinking bottles !!  amazing and they all are chosing their helmets ... and bottles.  some are really really nice, thanks Gene. thanks so much.

the boys went to the road bike race and they did not like it, at least tololoche didnt.  he came in last. had to ride muchos kilometers .... nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I am not interested.

we hear that the races may not be held this weekend due to the biosphere not giving the permit.  I need to visit Nelo cause I want garbage cans put out !!  and I want the garbage bags ot be given to every person or car there .....  last year it took us three days to clean up and even so, easily 30% flew away before we ever put our hands on it.

Carol and Hugh are here visiting. their first time in la bocana and they said it was CLEAN !!!!!!!!!!!! oh my gosh. that is a first in a long time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  they are the owner of Discover Baja and have been married 39 years.  wow.  and they are so nice to each other. wonderful to see. thanks shari for sending them our way !!    right now they are on the beach with Rex - does he love them or what ?????????!!!!!  and tonight all 4 of us are going to eat at Joaquin's.  havent eaten there in a while - miss eating out !!

So, it is the last day of april

the table and the 2 bags of donations arrived from ensenada. took ages but they are here and we already sold the 2 tables !!! yahoooooooooooo !!

i talked to nacho and gave him the pointers for the bike car wash meeting for today. i was going to go to thier house and monitor the meeting, but it is freezing outside. it is really REALLY super windy too. and it is time to let them fly on their own .... so I gave them the details on what to discuss and I hope they do a good job :)  I did call Joaquin since Leo is sick but I tried to expalin that he himself has to help the club too by taking his car down to be washed !!  Each kid has to get 2 cars down there ...

it is Friday and tme to relax for the weekend

oh yeah ... i forgot that for us ......

every day is a weekend !!!!  but it is still fun to pretend the "weekend" is here even tho we are retired !!

we hear that Landon  is growing and farting a lot - taking after grandpa and daddy, they say

linda's grandmother died at over 90 years of age. outlived her daughter by about 30

many folks coming onto town for the baseball opening of the new stadium !!

a gentleman named Ralph from Punta Abreojos may stop by San Quintin and pick up the surfboards and wetsuits. wouldnt that be the BEST ???!!!  all thru baja nomad and bloody decks.  the internet is a powerful tool. i also heard that Derek is talking up the teams to everyone on  Bloddy Dex and BajaNomads. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Derek !!  I cannot thank you enough !!

bike meeting today

i want all the parents to come

made cupcakes, deviled eggs, chips with hummus and 2 types of fresh juice ... and of course a cake for Les

replanted some plants, called some of the parents to make sure they were aware of the meeting

we talked about:
parent participation
all parents coming to the may 23 race (at least one person from each family)
taking care of bikes
our wonderful donators (jose and matt)
a list of who has practiced each day
buying bikes for kids with club money
a letter to the governor and pres muncipal as they will both be here this weekend :))))))))
