in the evening, i went to a store and dropped off my new money-making idea: muffins. Bake sales work in the States, right? Well, I wanted to test the waters here. the i went to the coop to drop the muffins off, in thoery, and while there Irecognized at least 7 people waiting in line, so .......... right then and there I offerred the muffins and guess what - i sold out and made a $20 profit. Now that is good money in 10 minutes !!!!
so, i ran back to the other store - got the rest of the muffins. returned to the coop store. met with another group who bought muffins. then i decided to go and visit the elementary school director because he missed his english class today and we covereda lot of vrbs. he can study sick in bed, right ? he cannot fall behind. on the way, i hear a lot of voices from the bldg next door to the coop - so i knock on the door and offer muffins. it is a group of women who all say at the same time = we were just talking about you. good things about you. we need your help.
they were kicked out of dif bldg for the new reusaeble mesh bags to be made. so, they moved to this bldg which has no electricity and no window ( ahuge gap) but is quite nice outside - freshlypainted about 6 months ago, and nicely painted inside with kiddy sike designs of animals or something fun.
they have a 2 day meeting every Wednesday and Thursday where they discuss family problems, parenting skills. quite nice. in exchange for cleaning, they want my help in getting them a window. i can do that. i will call the lady we bought about 8 huge windows and sliding glass doors from and ask for a donation. worst that can happen is a NO and i am exactly where i am at this moment. and the best that can happen ? a YES and then we have some happy women campers. window lady - here i come.
the best part - they buy all my muffins except for 4 and these i end up selling to the director of the elementary school. so i went back to the coop store and bought 3 new packages of cake mix and frosting and came home and baked for 3 hours !! and wrapped them all nicely. and Les and one of the firemen got a warm fresh muffin. i experimented with lemon muffin with a piece of banana in it -you wouldn't believe how good the combination is. More muffin selling this morning.
Having trouble with naming the website correctly now that we own the domain name for BajaBocana. will have to wait for Marek cause i understand less than nothing about the instructions. kind of funny to see an insturction video and
1. i know they are speaking english
2. i understand zilch, quite literally, about what the message is
i didn't have the courage to even rate the video like they request. how can you rate something you did not understand ??????????????
