March 4, 2010 Thurs

We have been buying and planting for 2 days now ... I bought lots of geraniums - some for our house, some for the Copa Cabana and about 10 we donated to the front of the stationary store .. she had started a little garden and had apparently asked for more plants and never got them. I thought she should be rewarded for wanting to make the center of town main square look beautiful .. so I got her a BUNCH of very beautiful plants.

Yesterday, we went to Julio's mom and bought 3 pepper trees from her - then she gave me another very nice plant with a white flower that I oohed and ahhhhhhhhhed over (that'll teach me) as well as 3 other little pepper trees.  Every one is planted. Every one got a big dose of water yesterday and today.

The big red tall plants that I brought here from the Copa Cabana are doing so well. They have little leaves popping out all over. I love the desert.  At the hint of water, every cactus or other desert plant bursts into action :)

moving houses - Julio's mom and dad uprooting our new pepper trees - we got 3 big ones for 300 pesos and 3 little ones freebees. Don't you love her Mexican bright yellow dress ... soooooooooooo .........well ........... Mexican
