it is saturday and finally i see a blue sky ... cloudy in the morning but really blue and pretty now !!  i cant tell you how happy this makes me.  there is another feeling in the air

this morning ana and i went to starbucks for coffee. then she went and worked out and i walked home. on the way, there was an amazing garage sale - the lady died and she had a collection of antiques that belonged to her and her mom and the daughter was selling it all.  well. off to the side was a brand new mtn bike so i asked if it was for sale. turns out is was !!  brand new - guy bought it for $300 and used it 2 times. sold it to me for $50 :)))))))))))))))

it is gorgeous and i left it at marueen's house. i hope LUIZ PEREZ, the guy the coop sent to help me out, can take whatever I have collected on Tuesday ...... the I leave Wednesay or Thursday and voila !!  Maybe all the bike stuff and I arrive at the same time - hahahaha

So, I think I am pretty much done with all we needed to buy - except for the racks and Mark found one for $10 that I already wrote to and then gloves ...well....gloves were found at target for $9.99 !!!!  That was Diana and those are indeed the ones I will buy ...

so, it is a good Saturday ....

mary and george, smiley and john were here for a nite - it was so cool talking to them...they are much more than guests now- I truly consider them friends....catching up on months of whats been going on is fun

they were wonderful to the bike club !!  they brought clothes and so much stuff to sell - shoes and curtains and blinds...amazingly fantastic. they will also bring more stuff next time and will - most importantly - keep an eye out at salvation army for bikes and a bike rack. now that is muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusic to my ears ....and best of all, if there is a best of all when everything is going so well .... mary and george bought a full team uniform !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  and Smiley and John donated too !!!!!!!!!!!   wow. 

so ....  I really thought those  were the LAST TWO uniforms we needed dough for - NOT so, turns out there are 2 more kids wanting to join the team !!!  So, Yolie Carlos and I brainstormed about who else might help and Yolie will visit them tomorrow

we are busy working on the design for the team uniforms. they are going to be just perfect.  the logo is not as great as i would have liked, but if the kids are happy, that is fine by me.  i did put my foot down at spending club money for the parents to get team jackets.  nope.  this money is for the kids.  i would love to get freebees too, but my thought is that we are adults and can work.  the kids cant earn big bucks. they can certainly help out and they have and  that is why i am proud to help this team.  but using moeny for the parents ...not my idea of right.

the surfers got a little talking to yesterday - if they dont get together and start worling now on fund raising - there is NO way i am going to seat it the month before.  they have to go to asuncion in august.  asuncion supported us, we must support them.  and then we have our 2nd annual contest here in bocana in dedember or january. got to prepare now. not later.

Cotty will do some garage slaes with the new items.   I am on my way over to drop stuff off.

we called Juanchy's kid Grecia asking if she is interested as well

so, when I come back in a week, hopefully all will have been sold !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  LIfe is indeed, beautiful.

Time to pack, we are leaving tomorrow !!!   Must call Dudu, see about staying at his house in La Paz.

well, lots going on in la bocana

we had our first garage sale with the stuff I brought from San Diego and we made over $100 dollars in less than 2 hours. Wonderful. Part of the money will go to the DIF - family dvpmt center. they want the stove and oven to cook for special events. I have told them that if they dont use it, I will resell it. I had given them the cylinder and gas before and it just sat for months ....

Rex loves the new dog bed we got him. he stretched out in it as if it had been his for years. he went to the beach today and ran crazy as usual

someone is building a house in a lot after Kenny's house ! Wow ! There is no electricity there yet, but this is a sign that La Bocana is growing, really growing

Pancho and Juanchys came by yesterday for dinner. It is so neat that the guys hang out on the front porch, chat and drink and watch the sunset together !

Linda came over yesterday and we spent hours organizing the stuff for the garage sale. everyone gets special consideration: this dress is for so and so,s this mirror should be for fulano - it wil look good in their room and so on

I guess Israel and the boys went to punta abreojos yesterday instead of vizcaino. well, they hit a wall and the truck overturned. no one was hurt but the truck is trashed. goodness gracious me. isn't life just a fine line between life and death sometimes?

the bike race is next week. they are worling on bikes today - fixing them up. dont know w3hen they are going to be able to visit vizcaino to practice for the rac.e you cant win it if you arent prepared. bottom line.

the tracor guy came and leveled out the sand at the Copa Cabana. looks a million time better and Les put soem huge rocls so that the short cut is no longer used. we hope.

also, we somehowleft 2 tables at franks house. i am soooooooo bummed. they were sure sales and sure money. who knows when we will bea able to get them down here ^&*(#$%^&

dropped off the computer to the police guys. they were so happy. thanks allen from UCSD. thanks loads. it was not easy to cart it, I KNOW !!!!! I SAW YOU !!!!

what a busy but extremely productive day

started the day by doing the gargage sale i decided to hold at the kid's school ... well , I thought the parent's who dropped thier kids off would come but it was the kids who bought all the stuff

and the doc and nurses fromthe medical center !! too funny !!!  they had a blast and in an hour it was all over and I went home to do the million other things

taught a nun in the morning and she is a super student. i told her to teach her friend who is also a nun and they are studying together !!  she is sooooooooooooo cute...gente do ceu ...she is cute and learing English !!

 taught one class in the afternoon and the kids are doing great. i am proud of them. one of the girs is struggling a little but they all eventually "get it".  I am having them take extensive notes - both in english and is spanish. and i told them to hang on to them til they get to their SAT's.... they will need those notes one day !

so - since the garage sale went so well, I decided to have one at the same location every day for the next 2 weeks.  i put up signs all over town.  form 7:30 to 8:30.  and each day has a specialty - one day is clothes, the next plants,. the next fishing stuff, thenext Christmas stuff. e por ai vai !!

i also made a cake to sell.  easy fast good money maker and the chocolate is creamy delicious ( have tyo try my wares to make sure they are up to snuff ....) Ughhhhhhhhhhhh right ....
Did 3 loads of laundry in between all this craziness. Also got 4 guys to help Les move stuff.  He asked as I was leaving the house to post my signs for my garage sales all week. So, when I ran into the garbage guys, I asked them to stop over the house and went on my way posting signs. the guy was in a hurry, but i told him- only one minute and you will  be done. there was
1. a perfectly good but too small for us water heater
2. a dryer that decided not to work one day for no really good reason
3. a shed that was quite heavy and needed to be moved

well, as murphys law would have it - when they came they asked for Blanca and Les said I wsa out. so they left and went to look forme. i amzooming from one location to another, Mary tells me she will root some plants if i bring her pots, so i am taking some good soil and pots to her at the store. les decides to go to the beach with Rex since the waves are gigantic these days ....when the guys find me, i come back with them and find 2 more guys along the way to help out. we arrive - no Les. I am confused but we get the dryer. we get the water heater and I have no idea where to put the shed. so we move it to where it used to be !!  guys leave and i go back to post posters at more stores ... when i get back i ask les if the shed is in the right place. what did i mention about Murphy ??? Pois eh. so i get the last 2 guys to come back over and we all move it to the right place. I give the guys pineapples and american chocolate and many thanks.

Les is not in a good mood these days. I think he is depressed and i think he is constantly exhausted. and watching your wife go at a million miles an hour and LOVING every second of it ...well ...he is not happy. a little frustrating from my end - I am getting a lot of people involved in many different projects...all great projects and all fun !!

did I mention my mom did an awesome job shopping? everything is absolutely  positively wonderfully perfect
