March 10, 2010 Wednesday

yesterday we had 2 visitors - Mexican guys who are testing the water coming out of the coop plant so as to reissue them their work permit. nice guys.  they come once a year
before and after

this morning the garbage guys were into cleaning with me so we made plans to meet as sooon as they were done with their regular route.  well, we cleaned and cleaned and cleaned some more. today we did the arroyo right next to dr romero - it stillhad some trash left formt he first time we cleaned it over a year ago - mostly bush branches.  some bags and trash, but it took me less than 30 min to cleanup. not too shabby considering it has been a full year, we have had major winds and a mahor rainfall. slowly, things do fall into place ... then we went to the back of his house where there used to be a car shop. tons of trash - it took us three over 2 hours to clean it up but it now looks like another place.  then we went to the second and third arroyo past dr romero's house .... and we will do those on Monday - between now and then, Linda and I will clean up the small stuff and they will pick up the big stuff all together. i feel v ery accomplished. on the way back, saw les at thenew house, and we came home for lunch.
FULL FULL TRUCK

i just called fedex and les's meds are in the mail and will arrive back in san diego tomorrow.  great fantastic excellent news.  we thought they might remain stuck in customs in Toluca !!!   A lot of good that would do us.  scary since les cannot get another refill. these meds are quite controlled (as they should be) but that certainly makes life a challnge for us - being so far and if one refill gets held up and you cannot get another. jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez louiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiize

Maria Herrera wrote that she has some rusty bikes in her yard !!  I am so thrilled. it has been a challenge to get the bikes donated.  hard since i am not in the states to coordinate this huge effort, it is harder but i want these boys to have 8 decent bikes. i want them to have beautiful new LA BOCANA uniforms. and we need the prizes .... hmmmmmmmmmmm....what to do .................let's write to the print shop and see if he can get color copies for free for me !!  yesssssssssssssss. that is a start.

Jacinto approached me and he wants to move to San Ignacio and sell his house here - it is pretty but typical Mexican wooden structure. However, the lot is absolutely HUGE and he has TITLE .... here are some pics:
