last week overall has been calm with a couple of days windy in the morning and most days windy in the afternoon. Fishing has been slow. Yellowtail have almost disappeared and 10 to 15 tuna could be caught, but they were quite small -- around 3 to 5 kilos each. Which for most made for not very good days of fishing. there were also a few dorado caught. Wahoo nowhere to be seen, even though some boats went to 25 a few times. Hopefully, it will improve shortly.
On November 8, there is the annual la bocana fishing tournament. Entrance previous years has been free and the first prize has been 15,000 pesos for biggest tuna, yelllowtail or dorado. At the same time, there will be a 3 day fiesta with food for sale, music and T-shirts, among other things.
