today was an absolutely gorgeous day. just the smallest nice breeze, blue skies and perfect temperature.
i am having toruble keeping the first class at the elementary school under control and it is not fun anymore. the second class is fantastic. go figure.
on baja nomad we are discussing whether the original mama espinosa is the one alive now or if this is her sister....
Mauricio - Morris - from vizcaino called and cancelled. his boss will be leaving that weekend sohe cant come. too bad.
one little boy Eric - sold 40 brownies today !!! amazing. and his friend couldnt sell 10. shows how some people have the otuch and others dont !!
the older boys stopped by and we talked aobut the things they need for their bikes.they told me that carlos cheated at the race last weekend. ouch. that is what Homar was talking about to me and at the time, I didnt know what he was referring to. now I do.
I have made 2 desserts for tomorrow. a cheesecake a la mexico and a mousse. then we shall have curry - rice - meat - seafood

so, the plans for the beca or scholarship program are coming together. i am going to have Manny's wife be the financial executive. she is in the States. I have known Manny forever. I trust them implicitly. I need a Mexican who is smart to help me control the donations. this is going to be one of the most important projects I have ever undertaken ...
I want a picture of Derek's dad with the helmet he donated. need to head over there since i am not sure when they are going home !
last night we went to dinner at joaquin's cactus - he fried the fish and made quesadillas. it was delish and fun to see the whole gang -
best part = Dave says there is an American dentist who set up shop in Abreojos with everything donated ... I want all the club kids to be seen to. Need a name and need an address and need to set up appts :)))))

oh my gosh what an exciting day ... last night my brain was on overdrive and these are the new thoughts:
1. manny is kite surfing today., he has friends that travel 50 at a time to go kitesurfing. we shall make la bocana their next destination. between our house - the copa cabana - edith and valentines' house, pancho and enriques house - I think we can put them all up.
2. Victor Senior is about to retire - he loves la bocana - he shall help me mastermind the new full service medical clinic and
3. Victor junior shall desing the medical clinic cum lab - as well as the youth center, since he is an architect.
4. sammy and luis, the dentists, will coordinate with each other to treat all the surf club and bike club teeth. sammy says he has a mobile dental kit. is that the coolest or what ????????
5. and best of all, today I will start the scholarship program - it shall be in 2 parts -
a- sammy and victor and manny can give talks on the medical fields
b maybe they can sponsor internships
c I am going to have them be the first la bocana student sponsors for high school and have them help me figure out how to sponsor these kids in college.
this is why i was up at 4 this morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so there are so many people in town now !!
dave and kevin are on their last days - they have kayaked and fish kayaked every day - mostly inthe lagoon. the last 2 days on the ocean. les is down a tthe beach right now getting some photos.
derek, his dad and dave are at joaquins. fishing all day every day too. they brought bikes and these bikes are so beautiful !!
art (LA) and Bill from BOLA are here too.
at our house we have sammy and manny and uncle and cousin architect. they have a sweet lifestyle: early to fish, straight to a restaurant to cook up fresh fish and drink. home for a nap. dinner at joaquins. sleep and start the same routine next day !!
tonight we head over to joaquins for dinner. should be fun with such a large crowd. my biggest beef is that there are no women at all. such a shame. really a shame.
the worker carlos has not shown up again. so much to do and he is lazing about town all day.
we are having trouble with the delegado and the carwashes. jeez. now he has decided that we need to tell him before we are going to do them. he want to be paid for us to use the electricity. such a joke. such a waste of time. ridiculous.
we spent a couple days without internet. not fun to be cut off fromthe world like that. we shalkl have to get on automatic payment. Nacho next door couldnt pay his phone since his bill never arrived. ours was at the post office place but we forgot to pick it up. and the date to apy came and went. and the phone service got cut and subsequently internet too. $#%^&*

September 3, 2010 TGIF
Dave and Kevin arrived last night at about 1- PM ... I was studying in the livingroom for the Mexican Naturalization History test when they pulled up. Theneatesty part is that Juanchys pulled up at the same moment - they met, Les came down from upstairs and then Juanchys took them over to Yolie and Freddy's house for dinner ... Now they are at the lagoon kayaking and fishing. Later they will set up camp on Bocanita. I think they will be so happy by the end of their visit. And they will bring back fish if they catch it !!
